Last Dollar Road
Last Dollar Road is a 16-mile alternative route from Ridgway to Telluride. Normally driveable for 2WD vehicles the road can be become a slick mudfest impassable even to 4x4s much less mountain bikes. On a good day, however, Last Dollar Road is a spectacular, scenic ride. Come autumn, the rolling hills of golden aspen against the snow topped peaks of the Dallas Divide provide from some truly amazing views. It is no surprise why Last Dollar is the most photographed road in the country.
