This 8.2-mile loop trail two miles north of Grand Junction off 27 1/4 Road near the Book Cliffs.  This area is popular not only with mountain bikers, but with dirt bikes and ATV's.  There are actually many trails in the area which crisscross one another, which makes for some confusion.  It is always easy, though, to find your way back to the parking lot.  The trail is rated moderate, with very short, steep hills.
