North and South Fooses Creek Loop
North and South Fooses Creek are connected up top by Monarch Crest and down bottom by the confluence of the two drainages.  The trails may then be done as a loop starting at the trailhead by US-50, up one drainage, across Monarch Crest, then down the other.  Factors for riders to consider when deciding which direction to ride the loop: North Fooses Creek is steeper, noticeably more technical, and has fewer bridged creek crossings than South.  This 18-mile loop eliminates the need for a shuttle but riders must anticipate on climbing the 3500' to the top of the Crest! Park at the fork of North and South Fooses then pick your poison!
