Colorado's newest state park is tucked into the mountains which inspired the song, "America the Beautiful." This 1600-acre park offers over 20 miles of interconnected biking trails of varying difficulty as well as scenic camping and picnic sites. Since most of the trails are wide, graded gravel and the steeper climbs are broken up into short bursts, this park is remarkably friendly to the beginning or early season riders. Beware as there are also some nice technical stretches to surprise and challenge the unwary! Due to the fragile ecology in the area, pets, horses, and smoking are not allowed on the trails.
