Newly Added Rides
Enjoy the City's fine network of bike trails and bike-friendly street routes on DRCOG's annual Bike to Work Day.  Help reduce traffic and pollution while zipping down the natural surroundings of the Sand Creek Trail, past the yummy wastewater scum along the South Platte Trail, or brigades of hobos and rollerblading baby bumpers of the Cherry Creek Trail.  There are no club sponsors for this ride, but you may register with DRCOG at http://www.drcog.org/btwd2008 and they'll be happy to microchip you to monitor your movements around town, forever!  Happy Trails!
Starts 25 Jun 2008, Added 05 May 2008
The Bicycle Boys will sponsor a Kick Off ride & picnic on Sunday, May 18 at White Ranch Park just west of Golden. Experienced riders will gather at the lower parking lot off Colo. Hwy 93 north of Golden at 10:30 am, then crank up notorious Belcher Hill to the upper level of the park. Less adventuresome bikers will assemble at 11:00 am at the parking lot in the upper part of the park, just off Crawford Gulch Rd., then ride some of the more mellow trails topside. Both groups will rendezvous for a picnic lunch at 1:00 pm. Food and beverages will be provided by the club. If you plan to participate, please put in a reservation by May 14 by contacting ginzndenver@aol.com.

The price of the trip will be $180 for those who pay by May 15, rising to $200 thereafter. The cost includes accommodations (dbl. occ.) and all meals. For more information or to sign up for the adventure, contact paul.brown@mail.com by the end of May.

For the past dozen years the Bicycle Boys have marked the official start of summer with a trip to Moab for the Memorial Day holiday. The club will continue that tradition in 2008. We will stay in our favorite luxury condos on the golf course five miles south of town. The $180 cost of the trip will include accommodations (dbl. occ.) and most meals. If you have ridden in Moab before, you will doubtless look forward to revisiting some of your favorite trails. If you have never been to Moab, then you are in for a spendid treat! More details about this trip can be had by contacting denvrdav@msn.com.

Friday, Aug 1st, to Sunday, Aug 3rd.  No, it's not a "10th Mountain Hut," but you get the idea.  We'll spend the weekend at the Lost Wonder Hut just under Monarch Pass.  Trip options include day rides on the Monarch Crest/South Fooses Creek trails, to scenic Chalk Creek Pass, and/or around the beautiful alpine lakes near the hut.  As with previous hut trips, biker gear will be sagged to the hut by SUVs.  Participants are limited to 10.  Cost will be $80 for two night's lodging and all meals.  This trip is currently full.  Please contact the trip sponsor at calbiker@live.com to get on the waiting list.

Plan to spend a week by the blue waters and amid the thick pine forests of Lake Tahoe from Saturday, July 19th, to Saturday, July 26th. Epic mountain bike trails are plentiful, along with scenic road rides around the Lake.  Water sports, like kayaking, skiing, or sailing, are also very popular options.  We'll rent a gorgeous vacation home and do day rides/activities from there.  Bikers from California/Nevada clubs are especially welcome on this special interstate RMBB trip. Cost is only $400 for 7 nights of luxurious lodging.  Meals, airfare, and other logistics not included. This trip is currently full.  Please contact the trip sponsor at calbiker@live.com to get on the waiting list.
